Didn’t want to pay $200/year for remote start via the BlueLink app. Super simple install… works like a charm… and the auto lock feature when walking away from your Kona is a sweet bonus too!
Purchased one last month for my Tucson and now this one for the wife’s Kona. Takes longer to zip tie everything away. Plug and play 10 minutes and your auto starting your vehicle, thank you for an awesome product
Shipping took a little longer that expected but with everything going on I get it. But once I received it I literally had it installed in my daughters car in less than 15 minutes. This place will be my go to for remote starters if they are all that easy!
Works great! bought for my wife so we wouldn’t have to pay those huge subscriptions to remote start. Just make sure your key fob battery is good and your cars battery is in good charged shape because we ran into that when we first installed our Mykey system in our 2020 Kona 1.6t. Once they were replaced it worked flawlessly! Can’t recommend enough if your on the fence about this product buy it I promise you’ll love it! Install was easy too took about 10-15 minutes but most of that was just finding a good place to put the module.
Just a follow up on my October review for my mom's 2019 Kona starter. Her key fob batteries were four years old. The one she uses the most wouldn't start the car but would open door locks etc. Her spare key fob worked fine and started the car. Changing the key fob battery fixed the problem. So it would appear the MyKey unit is more sensitive to a fob with low battery than the Hyundai door locks. Just a FYI if anyone encounters this issue. Still very happy with the MyKey unit.
Easy of installation less than 15min. Product works exactly as advertised. The Proximity Lock is annoying while getting fuel. Have a first start issue thar if it cranked one more sec it would start in the morning at below 35dg. Other than those issues I experienced, works perfectly an has good range.
