Compatibility

  • Can the remote starter be used on a manual transmission car?
    Currently, the remote starter is not compatible with manual transmission cars. However, we are working on a program to make it available in the future.
  • Is the remote starter compatible with cars that have a traditional engine key?
    Yes, the remote starter is compatible with the traditional key models listed.
  • Do you make remote starters for any other car brands besides Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis?
    No, we only focus on the Korean market and currently offer remote starters exclusively for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis car models.

Features

  • What is the function of the dip-switches on the MyKey Premium module?
    The dip-switches activate specific parts of the program on the universal module. Each car model has its own program, so there is no need to program anything once the module is connected.
  • What is Smart Timer and how does it work?
    Smart Timer allows you to keep your vehicle running for up to 20 minutes after a drive while taking the keys with you.. This enables you to step out, lock the doors, and maintain your preferred interior temperature.

Functionality

  • Can I control the remote starter through a phone app?
    At the moment, the phone app is still in development. You can use the key fob to start your car. Customers will be notified via email once the app becomes available.
  • How long will the car stay running after remote start?
    The car will stay running for 20 minutes before automatically shutting off if you don’t enter the vehicle.
  • Will the car stay running when I open the doors after remote start?
    Yes, the car will continue running even if you open the doors after remote start.
  • Will the AC/heater turn on when I remote start my car?
    Yes, if the AC/heater was on before turning off the car, it will turn on when you remote start.
  • Can I disable the auto door lock/unlock function on my car?
    Yes, you can activate or deactivate this function by following these steps:
    1. Get into the car and lock the doors.
    2. Press and hold the brake pedal.
    3. Press the lock button on the key fob twice with a small interval.
      • 1 beep indicates OFF.
      • 2 beeps indicate ON.
        The procedure is the same for enabling and disabling the function.

Common Questions

  • Why does the screen not turn on when I use the remote to start my car?
    This is normal. The car remains in sleeping mode during remote start, with the screen off. It activates once you press the brake pedal.
  • When I remote start the car, the tire pressure light is on. Is this normal?
    Yes, this is normal. During remote start, the car is in sleeping mode, and certain systems, including the tire pressure monitoring system, are not active. The light will turn off after you press the brake pedal and the car fully activates.
  • Once the car is started by remote control on a vehicle equipped with push-button start, the hazard warning lights blink every 2 seconds. Can this be switched off?
    Yes, the hazard warning lights blink every 2 seconds during remote start to indicate the system is active. For vehicles with push-button start, excluding the Genesis G70 and Kia Stinger, this feature can be disabled by flipping down the 3rd black switch (on the right side) of the MyKey Premium module.
